It all began with a mission statement.
Once we won the pitch, I began generating compelling ideas by tapping into the ideas based on User-Generated Content. Recognizing that the common link among gamers was the games they engage with, I meticulously crafted the visual style by defining the color palette and typeface. Drawing inspiration from the artistic styles of Brutalism, I swiftly refined and iterated to achieve our final design. Automation played a pivotal role in delivering over 500 assets.

Utilizing CompsFromSpreadsheets, a crucial AE plugin for automating the delivery of various assets linked to an AE comp, played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of this project.
⸺ Creative Direction
Crafting the look and feel of this project was a significant challenge. We strategically drew from the concept of User Generated Content (UGC) on social media and incorporated elements of Brutalism. This artistic direction greatly influenced the color scheme, typography, and layout, resulting in a compelling and impactful final product.

I made a conscious decision to embrace brutalism as the defining theme of the design. Utilizing brutalism allows for bold, impactful layouts, vibrant colors, and striking typography. Its simplified approach adds a compelling edge to the design.

Collaborating through multiple revisions with an editor was crucial in shaping our approach to transitioning between nominee and winning packages, as well as how they would be showcased during the live stream. Additionally, we had to produce compelling static videos to be displayed throughout the venue space.
⸺ Motion Graphics
In my approach to this work, I always focus on refining processes to guarantee scalability. The introduction of CompsFromSpreadsheets played a crucial role in reaching this objective. By inputting data into a Google sheet, the app facilitated the efficient creation of numerous templates with diverse content. I conceptualized what brutalism meant and how that translated to motion on screen.
